In what came as only the fourth highest successful chase in T20 internationals, Bangladesh stunned Sri Lanka by chasing down 215. While Sri Lanka would have been pretty confident of a win after posting a handsome total of 215, Bangladesh went on the spoil it for the hosts in the third game of the Nidahas Trophy.
Riding on a brilliant knock of 74 from Kusal Perera, the hosts went on to set a target of 214 for Bangladesh. Bangladesh reached there were 2 balls to spare as they stunned the hosts with a historic successful chase. Now all three teams in the Nidahas trophy including India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have one win each to their credit.
For Bangladesh, it was Mushfiqur Rahman who starred with the bat as he remained unbeaten on 72 from just 35 balls. He was assisted by cameos from Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das who gave a 74 run opening stand to the visitors laying down the perfect foundation for the grand chase to be in sight.

Bangladesh having chased down the grand total was totally elated and animated. They celebrated this victory with great zest and among these celebrations, the best was the ‘Nagin’ dance by Mushfiqur Rahman who was Bangladesh’s hero in the historic chase.
