AB de Villiers Revealed The Name Of His Favorite Indian Batsmen

AB de Villiers is one of the most loved and respected overseas player of India. He is considered as the modern-day legend. People love him for his thrilling batting skills, we loved him even if his thrilling shots are smashing our top players all over the ground. Agree or not, we all loved watching him hitting stunning shots against our team as well, it was one of our guilty pleasures.

All thanks to Indian Premier League we got to see AB de Villiers playing on Indian ground. His partnership with Virat Kohli has always been the most awaited partnerships in the league. This year, their team Royal Challengers Bangalore couldn’t make it to the playoffs and got eliminated from the league.

Recently, AB de Villiers was on a show “What the duck” alongwith Jonty Rhodes. The show is hosted by Vikram Sathaye. In the show, the duo recalled a lot of memories during their playing times.

It was a delight to watch AB de Villiers open up in a candid avatar. From opening up about his pranks to his time with his wife at the Taj Mahal, AB de Villiers revealed many golden moments of his life.

Amidst the show he was asked who is his favorite Indian batsmen. Surprisingly, he didn’t take the name of Virat Kohli, with whom he has been playing since a very long time.

AB de Villiers revealed the name of his favorite Indian player, with no hesitation he took the name of Virender Sehwag. He revealed that he likes Virender Sehwag’s aggressive attitude. The same question was then asked to Jonty Rhodes and he rook the name of our Mr. IPL, i.e, Suresh Raina.

After knowing about his favorite player, show’s host Vikram Sathaye revealed to AB de Villiers that Virender Sehwag used to sing songs while smashing the bowlers on every corner of the ground. After which, AB de Villiers couldn’t stop himself from laughing, he said:

“Sorry I’m laughing. I’m just picturing Viru singing.”

Talking about Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers said:

“That’s what I like about him as a player. He is competitive… No matter which team he plays for, he wants to win, he wants to have an impact on the game and very similar to me although I don’t show it as much as he does on the field,”
