On the back of showing some brilliant bowling performance, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the 31st match of Indian Premier League, that proved itself to be one thrilling match of the ongoing league.
However, amidst the match in the 14th over when Virat Kohli was playing his innings, Jasprit Bumrah the ace bowler of Mumbai Indians bowled a back of the length delivery to Kohli which he edged and was later caught by wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan.
But no one from the Mumbai Indians team noticed the edge and went for an appeal, thus the umpire also chose not to interfere in between. Even the reviews also showed that Virat edged the ball, which was later also confirmed by the snick-o-meter.
After, the match when the same was asked to Jasprit Bumrah, he revealed that he got to know about this from the dugout that Virat has indeed edged the ball. He also said that he was happy as Virat Kohli was sent back to pavilion by Hardik Pandya in the next over.He said:
“I got to hear from dug-out that he (Virat Kohli) was out and I heard that it was an edge. I didn’t hear the edge, even the wicketkeeper didn’t hear it. But that’s ok. In the next over Hardik (Pandya) got his wicket so I am really happy.”
