The complete world went into a deep shock when the news of a blast during a cricket match in the Nangarhar province of Afghanistan came out, around 8 people lost their lives and 45 people were injured severely. Rashid Khan, the leg-spinner of Afghanistan cricket team has mourned the death of a close friend who lost his life in the same incident. Currently, Rashid Khan is busy with the ongoing season of Indian Premier League, playing for his team Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The unexpected incident took place in the home city of Rashid Khan. The tournament was organised by the close friend of Rashid Khan, Hedayatullah Zahir in a way to way to “demolish insurgency darkness with peace”.

The ICC chief, David Richardson too had condemned the incident and extended his sympathy towards the family of victims, he said “We are saddened to hear of the terrorist attack on a cricket match in Afghanistan and extend our thoughts and sympathy to the families of those killed and the wider cricket family there,
