Shoaib Malik Recalled The Incident Which Made Him, Virat And Yuvraj Burst Into Laughter After CT 2017

Recently, he appeared on the Voice of Cricket show, where he was seen recalling an incident that happened after Champions Trophy 2017, where Pakistani won the match and took the trophy home after beating India. A video of Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Shoaib Malik and bowling coach Azhar Mahmood surfaced on social media where they were seen laughing their hearts out. It was a joy to see the cricketers of rival team bond so well.

On the show, Shoaib Malik revealed the reason about why they were laughing. Shoaib Malik revealed that they were discussing about a mismatched catch that happened between Shoaib Malik and Saaed Ajmal that drew comical reactions across social media. Skipper Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh were also left amused by the catch and while discussing the catch, they couldn’t stop themselves but burst into laughter. Shoaib Malik said :

 “We were playing the Champions Trophy final against India. Post the final, in the prize distribution, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, Azhar (bowling coach Azhar Mahmood) and myself were laughing. We all were discussing the same catch and laughing”, 


He revealed that Virat Kohli has asked him what Saeed Ajmal told him after the floored catch, to which Shoaib Malik replied :

“That catch was Chris Gayle’s. I asked Ajmal ‘if you had positioned yourself to take the catch, why did you pull out at the last moment’? He told me that he waited crouched on the ground to take the catch just in case you (Shoaib Malik) drop it.”
