Shardul Thakur, the fast bowler from Mumbai is known for his consistency with the ball. In the second and final Test against Windies at Hyderabad, Shardul Thakur earned his Test Cap for India.
Yes, after Prithvi Shaw received his test cap for India, Shardul Thakur also earned his Test cap and he became the 294th Test player in Indian cricket history. After two years of being with the Indian cricket team, Shardul Thakur finally made his test debut. Shardul Thakur became the fifth player to make a debut for India in tests this year. He received his Test cap from the Indian coach Ravi Shastri.
Shardul Thakur replaced Mohammad Shami, however, but didn’t have a great debut as he had to leave the field only in his second over with an injury. He could only deliver 10 balls before he went back to the pavilion. However, the cricket fans are very happy to see Shardul Thakur receive the test cap.
