In the latest ICC Test Rankings for batsmen, the Indian captain Virat Kohli has once again retained the top spot. Virat Kohli, with 928 points to his credit, is 17 points ahead of Australia’s Steve Smith. Kohli’s consistent run across all three formats of the game has been exemplary in the last 5 years or so and being at the top of the ladder in the toughest and most respect format of the game would give a lot of satisfaction to the Indian captain.
Virat Kohli has the company of two other Indian batsman-Cheteshwar Pujara (791) and Ajinkya Rahane (759), who are at the fourth and sixth spots respectively in the latest ICC Test Rankings for batsmen.
Blackcaps’ skipper and one of the most technically correct batsmen in the world, Kane Williamson is at the number 3 spot in the latest ICC Test rankings for batsmen, with 864 points to his credit.
Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne, who is, arguably, the find of the year, has been outstanding form and he jas jumped up to the number fifth spot after his scores of 143 and 50 in the Perth Test.
Pakistan’s Babar Azam managed to enter the top 10 list for the first time. He is presently placed at the number 9 spot in the latest ICC Test rankings for batsmen. He jumped from 13th to 9th after his knock of 102 against Sri Lanka in the drawn first Test.
