Sourav Ganguly Reacts On Rishabh Pant Losing His Place To KL Rahul In Team India’s Playing XI: Riding high on his recent performances, KL Rahul has wonderfully cemented his place in the Indian cricket team. The young cricketer who replaced Rishabh PantBesides making an impact with his impeccable batting performances in different positions, KL Rahul took the glovework quite brilliantly as well.

KL Rahul has been receiving praises from all around for his brilliant performances. The former Indian skipper and the Chief of BCCI, Sourav Ganguly has lauded KL Rahul for his consistently brilliant performances.

Recently, in an interview, Sourav Ganguly was questioned about KL Rahul replacing Rishabh Pant in the squad. Answering which, Sourav Ganguly revealed that the decision was taken by the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. He said:

Virat Kohli takes that decision. The team management and captain decide the role of KL Rahul.”

Showering praises on KL Rahul’s work in the limited-overs format and feels that KL Rahul will carry on with his brilliant form even in the longest format of the game. He said:

He (Rahul) has played well in ODIs and T20Is. He started well in Test cricket but has gone down slightly. But in limited overs cricket he has played really well and hope he continues all the good work but like I said, all these decisions are of the team management’s,” 

Sourav Ganguly was also asked about the ongoing competition for the post of wicket-keeper within the team, Sourav Ganguly said that the decision will be taken by Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri. He said:

 “The selectors, Virat and Ravi (Shastri) will decide that. Whatever they think, it’ll happen that way.”
