Virat Kohli Has Surpassed PC’s Following And Proved He Is India’s Biggest Global Star

In India, where cricket is loved and considered as a religion, the cricketers are one of the most followed celebrities of India. And the testimony of the fact is none other than the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, who has become the poster boy of the Indian cricket.

And as far as social media goes, over the years, Virat Kohli has gained a lot of popularity and has seen exponential growth in terms of his followers on various social media platforms. Recently Virat Kohli became the first cricketer to get 50 million followers only on the photo-sharing application, Instagram.

To achieve that milestone Virat Kohli has surpassed the Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who was his closest competitor in this race. Priyanka Chopra was seemingly closer to hitting 50 million followers on social media as compared to Virat Kohli. However, Virat Kohli has now beaten her to achieve the milestone.

Virat and Priyanka are followed by Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is in the third position with 44.2 million followers.

After achieving the milestone, Kohli took to his social media and shared a video of himself where he can be seen thanking his fans for showering him with so much love. In the video, Virat said:

Hi guys, so we have reached 50 million on Instagram. It’s quite surreal to know that so many people love and support me, and they admire what I do,” 

Sharing the video, Virat Kohli wrote:
