It was nothing more than an eye treat for the 90s Indian cricket fans to witness the Indian legends of this game including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, Virender Sehwag, Mohammad Kaif, among others, coming out together to play against the West Indies legends in the inaugural match of Road Safety World Series on Saturday at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The Indian legends won the match by 7 wickets, after a spectacular knock of 74 runs from Virender Sehwag. The Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar too played some beautiful shots and made everyone feel nostalgic. The iconic duo took team Indian to 59 runs for no loss in the first 6 overs and was involved in a partnership of 83 runs before Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed for 36 runs to give West Indies legends their first breakthrough.
After the match, an adorable video of Sachin Tendulkar with Imran Pathan’s son has been going viral on various social media platforms. The video was shared by Imran Pathan via his social media handles where his son can be seen punching Tendulkar after the two measured their heights with Imran Pathan’s munchkin standing on the table.
Imran Pathan then asked his son to show his biceps to Sachin Tendulkar, who was pleasantly surprised by how strong the toddler was for his age before the two start boxing with each other.
“Super hero mode ON????! Imran boxing with @sachintendulkar , this kid has broken the cardinal rule & will realize it only years later!”
