Ish Sodhi Took A Hilarious Dig At Jos Buttler Over His Mankading Incident With R Ashwin

It has been more than a year to the mankading incident during IPL 2019, however, the memories are still afresh in everyone’s mind. Ravichandran Ashwin mankading Jos Buttler during the last IPL’s season riled up various cricketers and fans worldwide.

Well, for the unversed, it was during IPL 2019 when Ravichandran Ashwin had run out Buttler at the non-striker’s end after noticing that Joss Buttler was a few inches ahead of the crease. The Mankading incident created a stir on social media. From cricketers to cricket pundits, everyone had different opinions on this matter.

Recently, Rajasthan Royals spin consultant Ish Sodhi and Joss Buttler decided to go live on Instagram, where they opened up about many things, ranging from the current happenings in the world and their professional lives.

During the live interaction, the duo also talked about the infamous mankading incident ranging from their personal and professional lives. Taking a dig at Joss Buttler for the same incident, Ish Sodhi asked: “Which Rajasthan Royals batsman was dismissed by a Mankad?”

 

To which, Buttler laughed at first and said: Can I just say… (laughs)

Jos Buttler: Can I just say… (laughs)

Jos Buttler: I don’t know. Is that even a way of deciding dismissal these days?

Ish Sodhi: Shouldn’t be mate. I am with you Jos, it shouldn’t be, mate.

Jos Buttler: I think that might have been me.

Ish Sodhi: Unfortunate.

Meanwhile, Joss Buttler was all set to join his team for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League, which has now been suspended because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
