The Coronavirus outbreak has brought sporting events and tournaments around the world to a grinding halt. Cricketers and athletes are struggling to kill time at home but not Kevin Pietersen. The former England cricketer, Kevin Pietersen is currently ruling the social media world with his charm. He has been significantly active on his official social media amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.
For the last few weeks, KP has been conducting Instagram sessions with his fellow cricketers including the likes of Virat Kohli, Yuzevendra Chahal, Rohit Sharma among many others, as well as, interacting with fans on social media.
Recently, KP went live on Instagram with popular cricket presenter Jatin Sapru, where the duo talked about many things on cricket. During the live session, Kevin Pietersen was asked about his all-time favorite bowler of IPL.
Ahead of Sunil Narine, Dale Steyn, and Amit Mishra, who are among the leading wicket-taker in the IPL, Kevin Pietersen took the name of Sri Lankan legendary bowler Lasith Malinga. He said:
“I’m going with Lasith,”
“You look at the numbers he has served up and the way he has consistently used that yorker, that makes everyone talk about it. Malinga is my guy. I would go with Narine, but he has bowled on wickets which helped turn. Also, he has been questioned on a few occasions for this suspect bowling action, so I am afraid to say that I am going with Malinga,”
Meanwhile, the Indian Premier League’s upcoming season has been suspended till further notice because of the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Though there are full chances that this season might get canceled, but if things get normal soon, the BCCI will look forward to a window later this year to host IPL 2020.
