The whole world is unitedly fighting against the coronavirus as the Chinese virus has spread all over the globe and made life extremely difficult for human beings. It is highly contagious in nature and this is the reason the whole world is facing a lockdown and almost everything has come to a halt.
The Government of India, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, also announced 21 days lockdown and every possible effort is being made by PM Modi to save lives in India. The honorable Prime Minister has made it absolutely clear that his only goal is the protect the lives of the citizens of India and he will do whatever he can do save India from the corona pandemic.
PM Narendra Modi has also announced a PM Cares fund where the citizens could contribute their bit and help the government of India in their battle against COVID-19.
After PM’s appeal, many celebrities, politicians, businessmen, sportsmen and the common public of India, have come forward and made massive donations for the country, with Ratan Tata leading the charge with INR 1,500 Crores.
While many celebrities like Akshay Kumar, who made a massive donation of INR 25 crore have revealed the amount, the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma didn’t disclose the amount.
“Anushka and I are pledging our support towards PM-CARES Fund and the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (Maharashtra). Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many and we hope our contribution, in some way, helps easing the pain of out fellow citizens #IndiaFightsCorona,” he wrote in his tweet.

However, according to the reports in Bollywood Hungama, an industry source close to the couple, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have decided to donate Rs 3 crore jointly to the cause. This report has been shared by many media houses and we would like to believe that these are the correct numbers. However, we would also like to add that we can’t confirm this from our end.
