Mathew Hayden had a really bad week in 2006, as he suffered a finger injury during a Sheffield Shield match. To make the matters worse, he was attacked by a dog during a morning jogging session.

The attack caused a 5 cm wound, which had to be kept open in order to avoid a chance of infection. The Australian opener lamented that it was a horrible week for him.
