In the modern era, the advent of shorter formats has made the batsmen shatter the bowlers all around the park for fun. They face difficulties in bowling and has to battle with the batsmen in the shorter formats like ODI’s and T20’s.
In T20’s which is mostly dominated by the batsmen, the bowlers have come up with some variations in bowling to get them out. “Slower Ball” one of the most known variations used by them to get wickets at the crucial stage of the game.
5. Mustafizur Rahman
The left-arm pacer form Bangladesh is big trouble for the batters at any situation of the game. He mixes up the slower balls with the off cutters as that helps him to take wickets and slowing down the run rate. He bowls those variations at a pace of around 126 which makes more difficult for the hitters as the ball gets edged to the wicket-keeper easily. These abilities make him one of the assets for any team in the present generation.
4. Dwayne Bravo
The Purple Cap winner in the IPL 2013 and 2015, Dwayne Bravo, is very clever while mixing up the variations that batsmen left with no clues that what he’s going to bowl. He has the special skill to bowl a slower yorker which otherwise known as the dip. The batsman expects it to be a full toss but it ends up yorking him just under his willow.

James Faulkner has one of the most subtle slower delivery in the world. He has the back of the hand delivery in his armory, and it is one of the most difficult deliveries to execute.

Lasith Malinga one of the finest bowlers to have ever played cricket. He mastered the slower ball yorker which is not the easiest one to bowl. Under his captaincy, Sri Lanka won the ICC WT20 2014 against India. Playing for more than a decade, Malinga remains one of the best bowlers of the modern era.

The right-arm pacer with an unorthodox action, Jasprit Bumrah, is one of the best bowlers in the present generation. Like Malinga, Bumrah also mastered the art of toe-crushing yorkers mixed up with the slower ones. He has the ability to demolish any lineup and can win the games single-handedly for his team.
