Rohit Sharma Trolled Mohammad Shami By Clubbing Cricket With Biryani: The Coronavirus pandemic has compelled the entire world has come to a standstill as there is a huge question mark over the future now. This pandemic has also affected the cricket world as BCCI has suspended the 2020 edition of IPL indefinitely owing to the viral outbreak. Although the nation has followed a lockdown since March, there has been little improvement in the country.
The cricketers, however, are trying their best to entertain their fans through live video sessions and podcasts. Recently, the dashing Indian opener, Rohit Sharma, appeared on the talk show of fellow women cricketers, Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues, talking about the pace battery of the Indian team. Giving insights of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami’s training sessions on ‘Double Trouble,’ Rohit said:
“The pitches we have for net sessions are almost always green with moisture. And whenever Shami sees a green pitch, he eats extra biryani! Bumrah is also difficult, but he has been around only for two-three years.”
He said that he has been playing with the Kings XI Punjab pace bowler since 2013, which is why he knows him a lot. He further described the competition between Bumrah and Shami and continued:
“Shami, I have been playing since 2013. But yeah, right now, there must be a competition going on between Bumrah and Shami, on who beats the bat most, who can hit the most on the helmets.”
Finally, The Hitman even touched the topic of slamming wide-yorkers outside the boundary line. He disclosed how he mastered this shot and said:
“That is my favorite shot (over the point), I used to bat in the lower-order. I requested Malinga (Lasith) to bowl me five-six yorkers even if it is on my foot. I used to take the ball on the full and try to middle it over the point boundary. From then, it has helped me play yorkers better.”
Thus, in this manner, Rohit Sharma made some exciting revelations during his appearance on the talk show.
