Twitterati Trolled Salman Butt For Saying “Jofra Shouldn’t Have Broken The Rules”

Ahead of the second Test against West Indies, Jofra Archer, England’s cricket team pacer left everyone stunned after he breached the biosecurity protocol. Jofra Archer was supposed to go straight to the Old Trafford, but instead of following the protocol, he went straight to his flat.

As per the reports, the pacer had gone back to his flat to meet his dog. However, he was axed from the squad just a few hours from the second Test. Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, the players from both sides are expected to follow the new protocols set by the ICC during the course of the Test series. Jofra was fined for his action and was asked to stay in isolation for five days.

Jofra joined the England squad after getting tested negative for Coronavirus twice. Ever since then, Jofra Archer has been receiving racial abuse in the wake of the incident.

Salman Butt, the former Pakistani cricketer, who was banned from competitive cricket for his involvement in fixing scandal in 2010 also slammed Jofra Archer for breaching the protocol. Recently, while speaking on his YouTube channel, Salman Butt said that Jofra Archer shouldn’t have broken the rules set by ICC.

For the unversed, Salman Butt along with Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir were banned because of the fixing scandal. Salman Butt had orchestrated that Mohammad Amir’s deliberate no-balls in the year 2010 at Lord’s in return for money offered by undercover journalist Mazhar Majeed.
