Wasim Jaffer Revealed The Name Of India’s Best White Ball Cricketer

The Indian cricket team has produces many legendary cricketers, over the years. From Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag to MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli, India has been home to many iconic cricketers, who took the Indian cricket team to new heights with their contribution.

While Sachin Tendulkar is regarded as the ‘God of Cricket’ in India, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are regarded as the modern legends of the game. However, it becomes very difficult for one to pick their favorite among the three.

The same happened with the former Indian cricketer, Wasim Jaffer, when he was asked to pick his favorite among the three legends, in an interview. Jaffer is considered as one of the stalwarts of domestic cricket and has even played 30 Test matches for team India.

 

Wasim is a man of a few words, so when he was asked to pick his favorite, he picked Virat Kohli as his best white-ball cricketer for team India.

Virat Kohli has 43 ODI tons to his name and is regarded as one of the front-runners to surpass Master Blaster’s towering achievements in the ODI format of the game. So far, Virat Kohli has 11867 runs in 248 ODI he has played and he has a lot of cricket left in him.

Wasim was also asked to name his favorite partner. To which Wasim took the name of Virender Sehwag. He said:

“It has to be Virender Sehwag, purely because he was entertaining,”

When he was asked to chose his favorite among the two rising talents of the Indian cricket — Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill, he said:

“Both are very talented. If Shaw keeps his head in the right space, he has miles to go. With the kind of game he possesses, he is a special talent. But he needs to maintain the balance. Even Gill has grabbed the chances with both hands and has gotten quality,”
