IPL 2020 Fantasy Cricket Tips: Four Kings XI Punjab Batsmen You Should Pick In Your Fantasy XI

Kings XI Punjab is going to play under a new coach and a new captain in IPL 2020 and although they haven’t got the strongest squad in the tournament, they have got a strong group of Indian domestic batting talent.

With Anil Kumble being the head of the coaching staff at KXIP now, one can expect him to get the best out of most of these young talented Indian batsmen.

Here are the 4 KXIP batsmen you should pick in your fantasy XI –

#1 Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal has not played too much of white ball cricket for India, but in the red ball games that he has played, he has shown that he can hit the ball long and can find the gaps through the field as well.

In the last couple of IPL seasons, Agarwal has batted at no. 3 for KXIP and has not done as much as he would have liked, but having done so well in international cricket in the last 12 to 18 months, he will be very high on confidence going into the next IPL.

Agarwal can turn out to be a vital cog in KXIP’s batting order in IPL 2020.

#2 Karun Nair

Karun Nair is a very good player of sweep shot and reverse sweep and he can also cut the ball really well square of the wicket on the off side.

On the pitches that will be on offer in UAE, sweep and the cut shot will be very important against the spinners because it won’t be easy to play the ball through the line on the slow surfaces of UAE.

Karun is likely to be slotted at no. 4 by the KXIP management and will be asked to try and hold the innings together.

#3 Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan looked very impressive in a few games for KXIP last season, but his challenge will be to maintain his level of performance for the entire season and not just play cameos here and there.

Sarfaraz batted at no. 4 last season, but he might be used as a finisher this season because he can hit the ball in unusual areas, something which a lot of batsmen can’t do.

If Sarafaraz can be a little smart with his shot-selection, he can do some serious damage in the death overs.

#4 Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle is not quite young, but he is always going to be a top fantasy pick till the time he is playing in the IPL, not just because of his past reputation, but because of the fact that he is still good enough to smack any bowler out of the ground.

Gayle was the second highest run-scorer for KXIP last season as he scored 490 runs in 13 games at an average of 40.83 and a strike rate of 153.61.

The Jamaican southpaw will be a certainty in KXIP XI in IPL 2020 as well.
