Shoaib Akhtar Finally Responds To Virender Sehwag’s ‘Baap Baap Hota Hai’ Comment

Former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has been making a lot of news lately over the past few months. From criticizing PCB for the selection of players to slamming ICC for pushing the world cup ahead, he has been in the news frequently.

Now, he has finally responded to the famous ‘baap baap hota hai’ comment of Virender Sehwag and he stated that he has rubbished that any such incident took place on-field.

Talking to Pakistan’s news outlet ARY News, Shoaib Akhtar has claimed that he would have beaten up Sehwag if anything, like he stated, had happened. He said:

“Would he survive after saying something like that to me? Would I leave him? I would beat him up at the ground and then at the hotel. The story has been made up,”

Shoaib Akhtar also took to his twitter and reacted on the news and said that it was all made up by Virender Sehwag. He wrote:

“Yes, totally self made story by him. Mujhe yeh bol k bach k jana kidhar tha us nay”

Here, check out the tweet:

For the unversed, Virender Sehwag once shared a sledging incident involving Shoaib Akhtar, where he challenged him to play his bouncers. Talking to shah Rukh Khan, Virender Sehwag had narrated the incident, he had said:

” ‘Woh tera baap khada hai wo non-striking end pe, uss ko bol woh mar ke dikhayega.’ Non-striker end pe Tendulkar tha. Next over mai jab usne Tendulkar ko bouncer mara toh usne chakka mara, maine kaha beta beta hota hai aur baap baap hota hai,”

Shoaib Akhtar also talked about how it was to bowl to the master blaster and stated that he used to look forward to bowling to Sachin Tendulkar. He said:

I heard Sachin was the god. I said this is a god? Iss ki khairiyat nahi. He didn’t recognise me, and I didn’t recognise him. He was in his own attitude and I was in my attitude. But I wanted to get him out on the first ball and that happened,”
