Aakash Chopra Trolled MSK Prasad After Ambati Rayudu’s Brilliant Knock

CSK made a stunning start to the Indian Premier League as they defeated Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians by five wickets in the season-opening clash. Chennai had gotten off to a horror start as Trent Boult and James Pattinson dismissed CSK’s openers, Murali Vijay and Shane Watson. However, CSK’s third-wicket partnership of 100-plus runs by Faf du Plessis and Ambati Rayudu revived Chennai and stabilized their innings.

Ambati Rayudu’s calm and effortless performance and du Plessis’ calculative knock, helped CSK get closer to the target runs.

Ambati Rayudu, who has been out of action since November 2019, was seen at his best as he came out to bat at No. 4 during the IPL 2020 opening against his former franchise, Mumbai Indians at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. Ambati Rayudu scored a 33-ball fifty and en route become the season’s first half-centurion. He was eventually dismissed by Rahul for 71 off 48.

Following his brilliant performance, social media was soon flooded with amazing reactions from twitterati on this. Among many, former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra also took to their social media and praised the performance of Ambati Rayudu.

In his tweet, Aakash Chopra praised Ambati by explaining how he is efficient at the one dimension he has. He wrote:

“Might not be a 3D player but still fairly efficient at the one dimension he has….top knock Ambati Rayudu #CSK #MIvCSK #IPL2020”
