IPL 2020 has just kicked off with its latest edition in the UAE and we have already witnessed a few cricketers getting injured. On Monday, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s star all-rounder Rashid Khan made everyone sit on the edge of their seats as he suffered a nasty blow to his head.
Sunrisers Hyderabad was defeated by 10-runs by Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first match of the IPL 2020 campaign. Their defeat was epitomized by a horror clash between Rashid Khan and Abhishek Sharma while stealing a double during run chase against Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai.
The unfortunate incident occurred in the 17th overs bowled by RCB’s Shivam Dube when SRH still needed 30 off 19 balls.
In the last ball of the over, Shivam Dube hit the ball towards the deep backward square are and both the batters sprinted for the second run after completing the single. Both of them were looking at the ball and the two rammed into each other in a scary way.
Well, that’s not it, the horror for Sunrisers had only begun as Abhishek couldn’t make it to keeper end and was run-out. On the other hand, Rashid Khan was lying on the ground, writhing in pain. The physio soon conducted a concussion check and thankfully, there was no immediate cause of concern. He was bowled by Navdeep Saini in the following order.
Meanwhile, social media was already flooded with the reactions from the fans over this scary collision between the two batters.
