S Badrinath Takes a Dig at MS Dhoni after CSK Lost to Delhi Capitals

Chennai Super Kings met Delhi Capitals for their third game. Both sides took the field after contrasting results. Chennai Super Kings lost their last game against Rajasthan Royals and were hoping to get back on track after grabbing a victory against Delhi Capitals who won their last game against Kings XI Punjab after performing brilliantly in the super over. MS Dhoni won the toss and invited Delhi Capitals to bat first. Unfortunately, CSK started on a very bad note after the Capital openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan started the game in a splendid fashion.

CSK bowlers made a comeback in the match and managed to stop the Capitals at 175/3 in their allotted overs. The score was something that could have been chased. However, the CSK batsmen struggled throughout the match and never looked like chasing the target. The team was criticized and former CSK star Subramanian Badrinath went ahead to slam the tactics used by the three-time champions.

“It’s Time -” S Badrinath Slams the team led by MS Dhoni

Subramanian Badrinath, the former Chennai star played a pivotal role in the success of CSK in the initial season. His approach towards the game made him an extremely dangerous player. However, Badrinath took to twitter to vent out his frustration after looking at CSK’s struggles for the last two games. The team has hardly shown any intent to win in their past two games and has lost both the games convincingly. Badrinath wrote on twitter “Changes Calling. It’s Time.”

Badrinath tweet echoed the feelings of several fans who have never seen their team struggle like this in the tournament. Chennai Super Kings could manage only a meager 131 runs in 20 overs and the problems seem to escalate for them. However, they have a break one week waiting for the post which they will have the services of Ambati Rayudu. Chennai Super Kings and their fans will surely look for a better future.
