Shreyas Iyer led Delhi Capitals suffered their second defeat of the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League by Mumbai Indians in the clash last night at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium, in Abu Dhabi.
Though, the match turned out to be quite interesting for the fans from both sides, however, it was a tweet from Mumbai Indians which has sparked a controversy on the internet regarding the IPL 2020.
On Sunday, a tweet from the Rohit Sharma-led franchise Mumbai Indians’ official twitter account created a stir on social media as it sparked fixing allegations in the IPL. Fans are once again left disappointed and have taken ain at the entire tournament.
Well, within a few minutes of the game between MI and DC, the Mumbai based franchise took to their twitter and were posting regular updates on the ongoing clash. However, among many, there was a tweet stating the final score of Delhi Capital’ at the end of the first innings and surprisingly, the scores were inch-perfect similar.
Yes, you read that right. The Mumbai Indians tweet went viral in no time. The tweet stated that DC will finish their innings at 163/5 and surprisingly, DC finished at 162-4.

Though, the original tweet of MI but the fans were quick enough to take screenshots and share it on twitter. While Mumbai won the game by 5 wickets and have now gone on top of the IPL 2020 points table, but the fans are slamming the team over the goof-up. As controversy has sparked, the IPL governing council and the BCCI might have to answer on behalf of MI in the coming days.
