Delhi Capitals is looking exceptional in the ongoing 13th edition of the IPL. They are currently leading the IPL 2020 points table, having won 4 matches off the 5 matches they have played so far. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore has been a boom in the chase so far in the IPL this year.
Though they have won 3 of 5 matches so far, but they have lost 2 games with big margins to worsen their net run-rate. Earlier, they were defeated by KXIP by 97 runs and last night they repeated a similar performance against Delhi Capitals.
The batting unit of the RCB collapsed badly in front of Delhi Capitals’ bowlers. Chasing a total of 196 runs, RCB got off to a slow start, after the openers with Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch were dismissed in the first four overs.
With the openers getting out in the first four overs only, the pressure was on the dynamic duo of Virat Kohli and Ab de Villiers. Though, Virat Kohli looked good but had no momentum to his innings. After Kohli’s wicket, the batting line-up of RCB collapsed eventually.
It was Delhi Capital’s Kagiso Rabada, who turned out to be a nightmare for the RCB’s batting unit. His first wicket turned out to be of the skipper Virat Kohli, who went back to pavilion in the 14th over of the match with the score of 43 runs off 39 balls. Following Virat Kohli, Kagiso dismissed Washington Sundar, Shivam Dube, and Isuru Udana. Rabada ended with the magical figures of 4/24 in his four overs, while RCB lost the game by 59 runs.
