Hardik Pandya is one of the flamboyant cricketers in the world, on and off the field. In the last 4 years or so, Pandya has made a huge name for himself and millions of Indian cricket fans believe that he is a very important member of the Indian cricket team across all three formats of the game and he is a match-winner wherever he plays.
In IPL 2020, Hardik is playing for Mumbai Indians but he is only using one dimension of his game because he is still not 100% fit and has been advised to not bowl. However, he has been making useful contributions with his bat for Mumbai, and even without his bowling, Hardik Pandya is still a very important member of their playing XI.
The year 2020 has been a great year for Hardik Pandya as he got married to the love of his life Natasa Stankovic and became a father as the couple was blessed with a baby boy in the month of July.
Talking about fatherhood, in a post-match interview after Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders, Danny Morrison asked Hardik Pandya if he is missing the IPL parties as players have to remain in a bio-secure bubble and follow all the social distancing norms.
But, much to everybody’s amazement, Hardik gave a funny but responsible reply. The stylish all-rounder said that after becoming a father he should be missing changing the diapers, not parties.
“I’ve become a father now so, I think I should not miss that. I should be missing changing the diapers,” Hardik Pandya replied.
Hardik’s reply left all the commentators and fans watching the interview on their television sets in splits.
During the interview, Hardik also spoke about the details of his bat, which he has been using from the past 3 years.
“I have been using that bat for three years now, so it has to be good. Just making sure that I keep working on my technique and maintaining the shape is more important. I go in deep in my batting, I really like to know about the factors which I am working on and eventually when it turns out pretty well, I really enjoy it,” Hardik Pandya said.
