Irfan Pathan Explains How MS Dhoni’s CSK Can Bounce Back In IPL 2020: MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings, who are one of the most successful teams in the IPL history, is not looking good so far in the ongoing 13th edition of the IPL. The team has lost two matches out of the three matches they have played so far in the game.

MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni has found himself at the receiving end of criticism for not being as his usual best. From his captaincy decisions to not timing the ball to perfection, MS Dhoni is being criticized lately. However, he gave a little hope during the final over in the last match after he smashed three back-to-back sixes which went to distance.

Recently, former Indian bowler Irfan Pathan reckoned that MS Dhoni is still more than a finisher and he should bat for the last 10 overs.

Talking about how CSK is facing problems even before the league started, Irfan Pathan said:

For the first time it is looking that the Chennai Super Kings team is not settled. They had problems before the start of the IPL, Suresh Raina went back and they have not taken a replacement for him till now,”

He added:

“Because of that there have been lot of problems in the team composition. If Suresh Raina had been batting at No.3, they could have played an extra bowler. Currently, they have only 5 bowlers. Kedar Jadhav not being bowled by MS Dhoni is also a cause of concern.”

MS Dhoni has been seen struggling to find his feet in the ongoing league. He has not been able to give the best of his abilities so far in the game. Talking about the performance of Dhoni, Irfan Pathan suggested that Dhoni should bat for at least 10 overs. He said:

“The teams which have been playing with an additional bowler in the IPL are looking stronger. More than a finisher, MS Dhoni is himself such a great finisher. He needs to ensure that he plays at least 10 overs and Chennai Super Kings must field an extra bowler. Then the rest of the things will be set.”

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni-led CSK will be locking their horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 2nd October in Dubai International Stadium. There are chances that CSK’s star player Ambati Rayudu might make a comeback tomorrow.
