Jimmy Neesham Trolled Aakash Chopra In The Most Savage Way On Twitter: Former Indian cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra is one of the most popular commentators from India. He never minces his words while questioning someone’s performance or criticizing them. Recently, he questioned Jimmy Neesham’s place in the playing XI for KXIP.
Jimmy Neesham made his debut for KXIP in their second game against Rajasthan Royals. He retained his place on 1st October in a match against Mumbai Indians. They lost both the games by 4wickets and 48 runs respectively.
While in a match against RR, Jimmy picked up a wicket for 40 runs but didn’t get a chance to bat. On the other hand, during his second match, scored 8 runs and leaked 52 runs from his 4 overs. Aakash Chopra questioned the decision of playing with Jimmy Neesham instead of Mujeeb Ur Rahman. He said:
“They play Neesham, an overseas fast bowler, who neither bowls in the powerplay nor in the death overs. He is neither a great finisher nor a big batsman who bats in the top four or five. So why is Kings XI Punjab playing him? You are playing a player who is not really a match-winner,”
Well, the comments from Aakash Chopra didn’t go down well with the all-rounder. When a fan asked Jimmy Neesham for his opinion on the matter, he hit back at the cricketer-turned-commentator. In his tweet, Jimmy Neesham took a dig at Aakash Chopra by pointing out his poor T20 average and strike rate.
Aakash Chopra has played 21 T20s, including 7 games for KKRin the first 2 seasons of IPL, where he amassed only 334 runs at an average of 18.55 and a strike rate of just over 91. Taking a dig at the same, Jimmy wrote:
“Averaging 18.5 striking at 90 doesn’t win many matches either”
