K. Srikkanth Questioned Dhoni’s Decision To Send Kedar Jadhav To Bat Ahead Of Bravo: MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings lost their fourth defeat of the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League by the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders. The batsmen of CSK couldn’t chase the target and eventually fell short of 10 runs. On the other hand, KKR registered their third win of the tournament.
CSK lost Faf du Plessis in the powerplay but Shane Watson and Rayudu put CSK in control with a fine partnership. However, Rayudu’s wicket turned the tables, As KKR stifled the run-flow and was able to bundle-up the rest of the wickets.
After Faf and Rayudu’s dismissal, the responsibility to take the team on the winning side fell on MS Dhoni’s shoulders. However, MS Dhoni once again failed to give the best of his abilities. His dismissal occurred in the 17th over when Chennai Super Kings needed 44 in the last over. From there on, the wickets fell in quick successions and CSK eventually lost the match to KKR by 10 runs.
However, many were disappointed with the captaincy of MS Dhoni and his decision of not sending Dwayne Bravo instead of Kedar Jadhav, who is being trolled brutally for his poor show on social media.
Among many Krishnamachari Srikkanth, the former Indian cricketer also took to his Twitter and expressed his disappointment with the batting line-up of CSK. In his tweet, K. Srikkanth expressed that he can’t believe that Bravo wasn’t sent at such a crucial stage.
K. Srikkanth also praised the performance of KKR’s bowlers — Sunil Narine and Andre Russel. He wrote:
“Omg can’t believe this! Where was #bravo? Unbelievable, said it earlier @ChennaiIPL still need to finish! Well played @KKRiders brilliant bowling by russel and narine in the death! #CSKvsKKR #IPL2020″
