Kevin Pietersen Picks 3 Teams That Can Reach The Playoffs; Excludes CSK: The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is going around in full swing. The tournament has already entered its second phase, with all the teams having already played at least seven games so far.

Currently, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Kolkata Knight Riders are sitting at the top four positions of the points table, while Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings, and Kings XI Punjab are struggling in the bottom half.

Recently, former England batsman Kevin Pietersen has named his contenders who can win the ongoing IPL 2020. Recently, in his column for beltway insider Kevin Pietersen picked RCB, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians as the three contestants for the playoffs this season. He said:

Even though they narrowly lost to KXIP on Thursday, Royal Challengers Bangalore are playing some very good cricket now. They went close to pulling off a miracle victory there,”

“Their bowling is coming up trumps more often. They have a spin combination that is starting to work and produce results, alongside a batting line-up that we know all about. I think RCB are one of the runners in a three-horse race to win the competition.”

He added:

The Delhi Capitals are another. They have got an all-round team that is really good. I’m still happy to be behind them. Clearly, the Mumbai Indians are firing big time, too. They have a formidable line-up in all departments. For me, they are the three teams that can win it,”

Talking about the last year’s runners-up Chennai Super Kings, Kevin Pietersen believed that the three-time champions are not capable of winning the games consistently this year. He feels that there is something wrong with the bowling attack. He said:

“Chennai Super Kings are back in the tournament after their win against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but I still don’t think they can win games consistently. Their bowling attack just doesn’t feel right”
