The Delhi Capitals locked their horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah last night and the venue witnessed another high-scoring tournament. Before the game started, KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik won the toss and chose to field first, only to regret later on.
Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan kick-started the innings for Delhi Capitals with a bang. Prithvi Shaw was able to reach his second half-century of the season, however, after Dhawan walked back to the pavilion Shaw was joined by DC captain Shreyas Iyer.
Shreyas Iyer walked out to bat at number three with all guns blazing as he rained sixes at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Iyer made a stunning comeback into the game, after struggling to get going in the first few matches. After Prithvi Shaw’s dismissal, Rishabh Pant also played an important cameo and scored 38 off 17 balls.
Andre Russell was the only bowler to register an economy rate of less than 11. He picked 2 wickets while conceding 25 runs.
During the KKR’s innings, the two-time IPL winners failed to give a good start to the innings. After dismissing big wickets like Shubman Gill and Sunil Narine in quick successions, Nitish Raina tried to bring the much-needed balance into the game.
In fact, even the promotion of Andre Russell didn’t work for the team. And the skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders, and Rana were sent back to the pavilion in two consecutive balls. However, Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi joined forces at the crease and rekindle hopes of another miracle.
As soon as DC won the game by 18 runs, social media was already flooded with reactions from fans on it. There were many who were not happy with the captaincy of DK and thus took their social media and criticized the decisions made by skipper DK.

Eion Morgan in last 3 matches in #IPL2020:
He is doing whatever job that KKR gives – finisher, anchor, batting with tail. What a team man, total respect.

Morgan and Tripathi took the team for respectable numbers at least. Dinesh Karthik worst captaincy made us lose today's match.

Every six by Tripathi-Morgan is a slap to the leadership group. #KKRvDC

Eoin Morgan comes on crease to bat.

Eoin Morgan batting at No.6. Rahul Tripathi being sent at No.8. Dinesh Karthik coming ahead of Morgan, Pat Cummins coming before Tripathi. Surely Karthik and Brendon McCullum need to settle their batting order.

The way Dinesh Karthik has batted this season, even Sunil Narine in front of him looked a better batsman. #IPL2020

The biggest scam Bangladesh ever played on us was to make us believe that Dinesh Karthik is a great finisher ??♂️ #DCvKKR
