It was one of the most heartbreaking moments to see KL Rahul going speechless while expressing just how his team Kings XI Punjab managed to lose against Kolkata Knight Riders after having dominated the game until the last two-three overs.

Chasing a total of 165 runs to win, Kings XI Punjab kickstarted the game with a powerful partnership of KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal, who stitched a 115-run-opening stand in 14.2 overs.
However, Mayank Agarwal was soon dismissed by Prasidh Krishna on 14th over of the game with a score of 56 off 39 balls, where he smashed 6 fours and a six.
There on, KL Rahul tried to hold the match with his performance but the wickets of Mayank Agarwal and Nicholas Pooran put brakes on the scoring. However, the game changed after the dismissal of KL Rahul. And eventually, KXIP lost the match by 2 runs after a nail-biting finish.
KL Rahul, who gave a powerful performance of 74 runs off 58 balls, was left with no words in the post-match presentation. Here’s what Rahul had to say after KXIP’s defeat against KKR:
“I have no answers. We just need to keep coming harder in the next seven games. We bowled really well. This was a fresh strip so we didn’t know what were good lines and lengths. And the bowlers adjusted really well. And they were brave at the death too,”
KL Rahul further said that losing wickets at the back end of the chase hurt his team. He said:
“Don’t think we were satisfied at any stage in the chase. You are satisfied only when you win the game. Towards the end, we kept losing wickets, and couldn’t get us over the line,”
