When real Rahul met reel Rahul….: Rahul Tripathi, who made his IPL debut in the year 2017, was bought by KKR for the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Coming out to bat as the opener for KKR, Rahul Tripathi showcased his eight years of experience in the domestic circuit as he turned out to be the only batsmen in the KKR squad to get going.

Dinesh Karthik would be glad that Rahul Tripathi dug in, top-scoring with 81 off 51 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 8 fours, smashing the experienced bowlers of CSK to all the corners of the ground.  The rest of the batsmen failed as CSK bowlers varied pace and bowled just short of a length, sending them back to the pavilion in quick successions.

However, KKR’s bowlers held the game and made a strong comeback for their team. Once again the middle-order of CSK fell cheaply as KKR bowlers reined it in. CSK eventually lost the game by 10 runs.

Meanwhile, social media was all praises for the new name that saved the day for KKR. And just like after every match, Shah Rukh Khan took to his twitter to appreciate the efforts made by his team. He penned a beautiful tweet where he praised his squad but the special mention came for the young talent, Rahul Tripathi.

King Khan wrote a full filmy tweet, where he came up with his own iconic dialogue from the movie ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’. SRK wrote:

We were a few runs short, but the bowling made up for it at the end. Well played boys of  @KKRiders And have to mention our  @ImRTripathi ‘Naam toh suna tha….kaam usse bhi kamaal hai’ Be healthy all of you and rest well. @Bazmccullum will see u soon”

The official account of Kolkata Knight Riders also took to their twitter and came up with an amazing tweet. Quoting SRK’s tweet, KKR shared a picture of Rahul, where he can be seen posing like SRK. Sharing the picture, KKR wrote:

“Jiss film mein Rahul ho, woh superhit hi hoti hai!”

Even popular commentator Harsha Bhogle, who was taking the interview of Rahul Tripathi, revealed how Rahul was awestruck with the presence of SRK after the match. He wrote:

Love these moments in the #Dream11IPL. #RahulTripathi played a fabulous inning, swept the awards, was player of the match but was grinning like a kid who has just got a present when  @iamsrk started waving to him. I was talking to him and his eyes were on Shahrukh! Wide-eyed!”
