Kolkata Knight Riders’ star all-rounder Sunil Narine, over the years, has given many amazing performances with the ball and the bat. Even in the ongoing 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, Sunil Narine has left a mark in the tournament already, after delivery impeccable performances against CSK and KXIP.
While his magical spell against the Dhoni-led side ensured that the Yellow army fell from ascendancy to defeat, on the other hand, his spell against the KXIP made sure that KKR doesn’t lose the game out of their hand before eventually closing the game with a nail-biting finish.
Last night, in a match against Kings XI Punjab, Sunil Narine played a crucial role, however, after a nail-biting clash against Kings XI Punjab, KKR’s star all-rounder, Sunil Narine has found himself under the scanner after his bowling action was reported by an on-field umpire with a final warning issued against the all-rounder.
It happened during the last over when the all-rounder was trying to save 14 runs by preventing Glenn Maxwell and Mandeep Singh from scoring. He turned out to be a hero for the franchise in this second consecutive win. However, following their amazing win, the franchise was served with a piece of bad news.
Meanwhile, Sunil Narine has been placed on the ‘warning list’ and is permitted to bowl in the tournament, unless there is another report against him. And if that happens, he might get suspended from bowling in the tournament. The statement read:
“The report was made by the on-field umpires [Ulhas Gandhe and Chris Gaffaney] according to the IPL’s Suspected Illegal Bowling Action Policy,”
“Another report will result in Mr. Narine being suspended from bowling in the Dream11 IPL 2020 until cleared by the BCCI Suspect Bowling Action Committee,” the statement added.
