Former Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina who has been a batting mainstay for Chennai Super Kings, ever since the inception of the league, left his fans heartbroken after he decided to pull out of the ongoing 13th edition of the IPL citing personal reasons.
Suresh Raina was fully prepared for the upcoming league and had even joined the one-week training camp held by CSK in Chennai. Later, he also flew to the UAE with the entire CSK squad and management, however, a few days before the start of the league, Suresh Raina pulled out of the IPL 2020.
While fans were hoping that Suresh Raina will make a comeback for CSK anytime during the remaining league, seems like everything is over between Raina and CSK. And Suresh Raina might never play for the Chennai Super Kings.
Well, in the latest development in this case, it was found that Suresh Raina’s name has also been removed from the ‘team’s section’ on the official website.
Earlier, in an interview, Kasi Viswanathan said that the decision was made by Raina himself and the team will respect his decision. He had said:
“We cannot look at (Suresh) Raina because he made himself unavailable, and we respect his decision and his space. We are not thinking about it. I can assure the fans that we will bounce back strongly.”
Meanwhile, the team is surely missing the presence of their star performer, Raina. So far, CSK is not looking good in this season. Talking about the ongoing performances of the CSK squad, the CEO of CSK said:
“We have been blessed with some of the best fans in the cricketing world and I can assure them that we will bounce back strongly. It is a game and you have your good days and bad days. But the boys know what they need to do and the smiles will be back.
