IPL 2020

As it felt that Delhi will put the title race to bed toninght, drubbing Sunrisers, David Warner had other plans for the Capitals. The Australian opener teamed up with Wriddhimaan Saha and started pounding the best bowling duo of IPL.

It was Saha who took over the charge initially, with a few exquisite strokes against Nortje. His confidence was overwhelming and he started hammering the Capitals bowlers. Warner waited until the third over and when he sniffed blood after smashing Ashwin for a maximum, he had no more inhibitions.

Warner opened up in stunning fashion when he whacked Kagiso Rabada for 22 runs in a single over. That was the flip that Sunrisers were looking for and there was no turning around.

Once Warner got out for a 34-ball-66, Saha took over the mantle and started peppering the bowlers all around the park. Pandey anchored the innings at the other end while Saha took out the bowlers to the cleaners.

Saha and Pandey stitched an incredible stand of 63 runs before Wriddhi finally got out for a stellar 87 from 45 balls.

Pandey and Williamson slowed down a bit but still managed to usher Hyderabad to a mounumental 219 for 2.

Delhi Capitals jolted to a rude awakening after Sandeep Sharma and Shabaz Nadeem shattered their dream of a decent start. Rashid Khan joined the party late as he dismissed Rashid Khan and Shimron Hetmeyer in a flash.

Rishabh Pant stood out as the solitary warrior of Delhi Capitals as he stitched a painstaking 36 without minimal resistance from the others.

Tushar Deshpande stuck a breezy 20 towards the end of the innings, helping Delhi to reach 131 before Nortje finally fell victim to Natarajan.

Twitter broke into splits after Delhi slumped to their third straight defeat.
