For the unversed, several cricketers around the world are taking part in the Black Lives Matter movement in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death in the USA in March earlier this year
Meanwhile, Hardik became the first player to take a knee in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.
It was just a couple of days ago when West Indies skipper Jason Holder, who is currently playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad had expressed his disappointment over the fact that none of the players in IPL have discussed the BLM movement. He had said:
“To be honest, I haven’t had one conversation up here around it (BLM). Sometimes it seems it has gone unnoticed, which is a sad thing,”
Nevertheless, Pandya took the initiative and impressed each and every one. Netizens too lauded the kind gesture of Hardik Pandya and flooded the social media with their amazing reactions on it.
Here, check out the reactions of Twitterati on this:
I love how in cricket it’s not even like they have a designated time to kneel or anything but Hardik Pandya still. STILL. does it and shows his support
Also Pollard acknowledging it omg
