Shardul Thakur - Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag Posted A Super Funny Message For Shardul Thakur: MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings, who were sitting at the bottom end of the IPL 2020 points table after having lost three back-to-back defeats off the 4 games they had played, finally made a comeback in the ongoing league last night. CSK defeated Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets.

It was a must-win match for the Chennai Super Kings and they had to do something in this game to recover miraculously from death and this is when the captain MS Dhoni came to the rescue.

The game kickstarted with a worst possible start for the KXIP, as MS Dhoni sent Piyush Chawla as soon as KXIP felt comfortable at the crease and they lost their dangerous opener, Mayank Agarwal. After that, KL Rahul and Mandeep Singh formed a decent partnership. But Dhoni threw the ball to his other spinner, Ravindra Jadeja, who dismissed Mandeep Singh.

However, it was the amazing performance of Shardul Thakur that stole all the show. KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran joined hands with the skipper and gave a classic example of exquisite batting. This is when Shardul Thakur came into the picture and sent Nicholas Pooran back to the stadium.

After Pooran’s dismissal, Dhoni and Shardul Thakur joined hands in planning to remove KL Rahul. Shardul Thakur’s perfect delivery found KL Rahul edging the ball to Dhoni, who jumped and caught the ball with both his hands. During the same over, he only conceded 3 runs.

Meanwhile, social media was flooded with amazing reactions from twitterati on Shardul Thakur’s comeback. Among many, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, who is known for his hilarious sense of humor and witty tweets, was at it again as he praised Shardul Thakur on twitter. In his tweet, Virender Sehwag heaped praises on Shardul Thakur and his bowling effort. He wrote:

“Romba Nalla.
Thokar khaakar hi aadmi Thakur banta hai. Great bowling in the end from Chennai.
And What a start with the bat.
Loving it. This is what was missing.
