Rishabh Pant Smashes Andre Russell Out Of The Stadium: In a field where the boundaries seem to be plain timid, it becomes a cakewalk for the batsmen in the middle. To make matters further deplorable for the bowlers, it is the shortest format of the game which already is the batsmen’s game.
In one such incident, Rishabh Pant took out Andre Russell for a massive six over long-on that was consigned out of the park in exquisite fashion and with massive strength.
It was the third over of Russell after he pulled off two brilliant first overs. The first ball was tight while the second was hammered out of the stadium. It was in Pant’s hitting arc that helped the southpaw a wee bit.
Pant adjusted his feet, moved out of the bowling line, and smacked him over the long-on for a classic sixer.
It was a classic cricketing shot that flew out of the stadium to the roads. Though the ground is small, that strike would have been a sixer at least 30 rows back even if it was the world’s biggest ground.
