Among many, the Jamaican sprinter Yohan Blake also took to his Twitter and expressed his disappointment with the decision of Dhoni. He shared a video, where he stated that this was the worst decision taken by MSD for giving the ball to the left-arm spinner when two left-handers were batting at the crease. He said:

“I think Dhoni made the worst decision in a long while. That’s a poor decision to bowl Jadeja at the last part. We had Bravo. Really?”

Sharing the video, Yohan wrote:

“Poor poor poor poor choice Mahendra Singh Dhoni. You just can’t bowl Jadeja to the left hand batsman hmmmm.”

However, there was a reason behind this decision of MS Dhoni. During the post-match presentation, MS Dhoni revealed that Bravo wasn’t fit to bowl the last over and was not on the field. As per the rules, a player can’t return back to the field before 6 overs.

With limited options, MS Dhoni had no choice other than sending an experienced player like Ravindra Jadeja at such a crucial time. He revealed:

“Bravo was not fit, he went out and was really not able to come back. That was the reason we had to bowl (Jadeja). The option was either Karn and Jaddu so I went ahead with Jaddu. Maybe not enough.”

Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings will be seen locking their horns against Rajasthan Royals tomorrow, i.e, on 19th October at 7:30 p.m.
