IPL 2020 seemed like a steel cage for the batsmen that demanded exerting force from them to wriggle free from the clutches of the bowlers with the latter making merry, considering the size of the grounds and the devolution of the surface due to the intensity of the games.
With scores of 200 being limited and with time the only ground where they were being made, turning into an absolute graveyard for the batsmen, boundaries became hard to come by.
With all said and done, T-20 cricket is still about those colossal sixes those are being hurled around the park with consummate ease. Irrespective of the fact that from whose bat they arrive as one of the biggest sixes in international cricket came from the bat of Brett Lee, they are always a treat for the fans to watch.
Mumbai Indians were the champions of the tournament after a resonating showdown from Trent Boult in the final who shattered the spine of the Delhi batting line-up. Rohit Sharma spearheaded the batting for the defending champions while Ishan Kishan finished things in style to steal the 5th title in 8 years for the Men in Blue.
Ishan Kishan from Mumbai Indians struck the highest number of sixes as he aced the list with 30 biggies. He was followed by Rajasthan Royals’ Sanju Samson, who whacked 26 maximums, most of which were racked up in Sharjah in the opening two games. Mumbai’s Hardik Pandya stood out in the third place with 25 sixes.
We will take a glance at the biggest sixes struck in the recently concluded domestic extravaganza –IPL 2020.
