One of the most talking points of the match became the presence of Prayer Aunty in the stands. For the unversed, everyone knows this lady as “lucky charm” and has been spotted in almost all the playoffs games for the last few seasons. It was in the year 2017 when she was first seen during the final match between Mumbai Indians and Pune Supergiant. Pune needed seven runs off five balls, and she closed her eyes and refused to watch the thriller. Tables turned and MI were able to win the trophy.

Following that Prayer Aunty, with her eyes closed and folded hands, became an internet sensation overnight. Prayer Aunty has made everyone believe that prayers definitely have special powers and they work.

In the game last night, as Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 56 runs to enter the final, the fans were thrilled after seeing prayer ‘aunty’ back on-field.

Meanwhile, social media was flooded with amazing reactions from Twitterati on this. From hilarious memes to jokes, twitterati just can’t keep calm on the return of the luck of Prayer Aunty for Mumbai Indians.
