Ravindra Jadeja Takes A Blinder After Bizarre Collision With Shubman Gill:After suffering an embarrassing defeat in the 1st Test match, the Indian cricket team showed some comeback fight in the ongoing 2nd Test of the 4-match Border Gavaskar Trophy. Ahead of the game, a few major changes were made in the playing squad.
Indian all–rounder Ravindra Jadeja was included as the 5th bowler in the squad and the cricketer has repaid the trust of his fans and team management by playing an instrumental role in restricting the Aussies at the MCG. Ravindra Jadeja, who is regarded as one of the finest fielders showed his brilliance once again in the ongoing game at the MCG.
Team India showed a great team effort while dismissing Matthew Wade. The dismissal took place in the 13th over of the innings when R Ashwin was in his second over and Wade was taking an attack on Ashwin. On the fourth ball of the over, Wade smashed Ashwin for a four.
This was when Rishabh Pant advised Ashwin and it was caught by the stump-mic. Before the fifth ball of the over, Pant said: “Andar his rakhna, ye maarega” (which translates to: “Keep it at the stumps, he will hit”). And R Ashwin did exactly the same proving Pant right as Wade went for a big shot, however, only to be caught by Ravindra Jadeja.
Ravindra Jadeja called for the catch but debutant Shubman Gill wanted it too. Running sideways, Jadeja took the catch brilliantly but not before Gill dived onto him in a bizarre fashion. The video of the same was shared by Cricket Australia via their official Twitter handle.
