The change in leadership for team India in the 2nd Test turned out to be great for team India. After India’s debacle in the first Test match in Adelaide and with the absence of skipper Virat Kohli, who left for India to be there for his wife Anushka Sharma during the birth of their child, and Mohammed Shami, there was a lot of pressure on the shoulders of Ajinkya Rahane.
Before the game kickstarted, the toss was won by Tim Paine, who chose to bat first. Team India needed their bowlers to be right on the money to ensure that Australia didn’t run away with the game. And Ajinkya Rahane made it happen with his tactics as he was absolutely outstanding in the way he set-up his fields and rotated his bowlers.
While Umesh Yadav struggled with consistency, on the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah turned out to be a star performed with the ball. He consistently bowled full and got the ball to swing as he picked 4 wickets.
Meanwhile, social media was soon flooded with amazing reactions from Twitterati. While the fans were lauding the amazing captaincy of Ajinkya Rahane, there were many who trolled Virat Kohli left, right and center for the same.
