4. Dj Bravo – Darren Bravo:
Dwayne Bravo or DJ Bravo has been an integral part of the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings for the last few years. Infact, he has been a proud winner of the Purple cap in the past. However, because of injuries, he hasn’t been able to perform his best in the IPL lately.
Dwayne Bravo’s brother Darren Bravo has also played in the Indian Premier League for the team Kolkata Knight Riders. While DJ Bravo was retained by Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2021, on the other hand, Darren Bravo remained unsold.
3. Sam Curran – Tom Curran:
Sam Curran impressed one and all with his performance in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. He turned out to be one of the very few bright spots for the CSK in a disappointing season. As a result, Sam Curran was retained by the Chennai-based franchise for IPL 2021.
Sam’s brother Tom Curran, who was playing for Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2021 IPL auction, has been bought by Delhi Capitals this season. The all-rounder has a lot of experience playing for various franchises around the world in the shortest format of the game.
2. Faf du Plessis – Hardus Viljoen:
It is very interesting that three players of Chennai Super Kings have their relatives in the IPL. While the first two pairs were brothers, the third pair is of brothers-in-law.
Faf du Plessis is one of the most loved overseas cricketers. However, not many are aware of the fact that Faf’s brother-in-law is Hardus Viljoen, who has played for the Kings XI Punjab in the past. Hardus is married to Faf du Plessis’ sister.
Mumbai Indians has always been a home for the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar has been associated with the franchise ever since its inception.
