The fans were left heartbroken after India’s swashbuckling batsman Shikhar Dhawan once again fall short of a well-deserved century, as he was caught at short mid-wicket during the 1st ODI against England in Pune.
The cricketer was at the receiving end of criticism and trolling because of his form, off-lately, however, Dhawan silenced his critics and proved why he is hailed as one of the best white-ball batsmen India have at the moment.

Shikhar opened the series for team India with all-guns-blazing and gave a stunning performance under pressure. However, he missed his 18th ODI hundred as he was dismissed by Ben Stokes’ delivery (caught by Eoin Morgan). He was only 2 runs short of scoring a century as he was dismissed on 98 runs off 106 balls. His powerful knock was laced by 11 fours and 2 sixes.
Meanwhile, as soon as Dhawan was dismissed social media was already flooded with reactions from Twitterati on Dhawan’s knock.
