Delhi Capitals’ talented batsman Prithvi Shaw stole the show last night in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders in Ahmedabad as he smashed Shivam Mavi for six consecutive boundaries of the first over. Riding on the performance of Prithvi Shaw, Delhi Capitals won the game defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets.
Chasing a target of 155 runs, Prithvi Shaw started the innings for Delhi Capitals in an aggressive manner. KKR’s Shivam Mavi became the victim of Prithvi Shaw’s masterclass. In the very first over bowled by Shivam, Shaw smashed six deliveries to the boundary rope. Though Mavi started off with a wide however ended up conceding fours on the next 6 deliveries.
For the unversed, Prithvi Shaw and Shivam Mavi’s friendship go a long way back, having won the Under-19 World Cup together in the year 2018. Therefore, KKR’s player Shivam Mavi didn’t let Shaw getaway after hammering him with the bat.
Well, after the match, Shivam Mavi hilariously took his revenge on Prithvi. He playfully grabbed Shaw by his neck as they caught up after the game, dragging him away as he was left wincing. The video of the hilarious moment has been going viral on social media and has left everyone in splits.

Meanwhile, after defeating KKR, Delhi Capitals is now sitting in the second spot in the points table, having won five games off the seven games they have played so far. DC will now face the Punjab Kings in their next match at Ahmedabad on Sunday.
