Chennai Super Kings’ Chinna Thala, Suresh Raina, who played his first competitive match in over a year, stole all the limelight with his powerful comeback last night for CSK. Suresh Raina, who had pulled out of IPL 2020 citing personal reasons, made everyone realized what exactly was missing from the 2020 edition of the IPL, as early as his first game of IPL 2021.

Time and again, Raina has come to CSK’s rescue and last night was no different. In a match against Delhi Capitals last night, Suresh Raina came to CSK’s rescue once again as he brought the much-needed momentum to the game. Hailed as Mr. IPL for his batting masterclass, Suresh Raina walked into bat when CSK was in deep state of trouble, having lost both openers with only 7 runs on the scoreboard. He joined hands with Moeen Ali and brought the much-needed momentum back to the game.

Though he started off slow but soon changed gears and steadied the ship for CSK, smashing DC bowlers to all the corners of the ground. He later put on a 63-run stand for the 4th wicket with Ambati Rayudu, putting put CSK’s innings back on track.

He scored 54 runs off 36 balls, where he smashed 3 fours and 4 stunning sixes before he was eventually run-out by Chris Woakes.

Delighted with Raina’s powerful knock, experts and fans took to their social media to applaud the star batsman, whose absence was felt immensely in IPL 2020.
