Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, who is known for his hilarious sense of humor, won the internet with his hilarious take on the Shakib Al Hasan controversy.
For the unversed, Bangladesh’s star cricketer Shakib Al Hasan stirred a controversy after, in a shocking incident, he misbehaved with the umpire during the Dhaka Premier League match against arch-rivals Abahani Limited. During the game, Shakib lost his cool twice and ruined the game for the fans.
A video of him has gone insanely viral on social media where he can be seen lashing out at the umpire and kicking the stumps. The incident took place, after one of the deliveries of the fifth over, Shakib appealed for an LBW decision against Mushfiqur. However, the on-field umpire didn’t give the batter out. And surprisingly, Shakib lashed out at the umpire and even went on to kick the stumps in sheer frustration.
Though, after the match, Shakib Al Hasan issued a public apology, however, the incident couldn’t stop the netizens from slamming Bangladesh’s cricketer for misbehaving with the on-field umpires. There were many who came up with hilarious memes on the incident and Virender Sehwag was one of them.

Earlier, after receiving criticism, Shakib Al Hasan took to his official Facebook account and issued a public apology. He wrote:
“Dear fans and followers, I am extremely sorry for losing my temper and ruining the match for everyone and especially those who are watching from home. An experienced player like me should not have reacted that way but sometimes against all odds it happens, unfortunately. I apologize to the teams, management, tournament officials, and organizing committee for this human error. Hopefully, I won’t be repeating this again in the future. Thanks, and love you all. SAH.”
