Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has found himself at the receiving end of criticism and trolling after he failed to contribute with the bat on day 4 of the third Test match at the Headingley Cricket Stadium, Leeds. The dynamic youngster is having a tough time with the bat in the ongoing 5-match Test series against England. So far, in the five innings, he has played, the swashbuckling left-hander has only managed to score 87 runs, with 37 being the highest runs.

The 23-year-old cricketer, who has played in all the three Tests matches so far in the ongoing series, hasn’t been able to leave a mark with his performance. In fact, on day 4 of the third Test match, Rishabh Pant’s patience was tested once again and he failed to contribute with the bat. He walked in to bat when team India was in a tough situation after skipper Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara fell prey to England’s Ollie Robinson early in the morning session. He was dismissed by Ollie Robinson for just 1.

So far, in the ongoing series, he has scored a total of only 87 runs in the three Tests he has played, scoring 25 runs at Nottingham,37 and 22 at the Lord’s, and 2 and 1 at Leeds.
